Brewster’s Millions

Reviews of Music, Movies, Books and Culture

About Me

mat-with-faces.jpgI started this site as a journal to document the 10 months I lived in Strasbourg France. Eventually I got bored talking about bread and cheese and started writing movie reviews. This led to an association with Blogcritics where my posts have been chosen as the Editors Picks of the Week on numerous occasions.

I have recently created a new bootleg blog, Bootleg Nation, where I discuss my addition to live music. Some ultra-cool Blogcritic writers and I have also just begun the pop culture site of domination, The Mondo Project.

In real life, I am happily married and enjoy taking photographs.

    Dear Mat,
Great appreciation of the Otis bootleg…my desert island disk is The Essential Otis Redding…that’s all you really need of civilization.

Perhaps we could exchange addresses and I could send you a couple blank CD’s to get the Otis one?
I make bold to ask because you made the offer to another corresponddent…
Caught a glance at your review of the Office..did you scope out the BBC show The Thick of It? Some great surly British behavior, a forerunner of sorts to the back rooms life of Brit pols, notably Blair, as seen recently in The Queen.
    Best regards,

    hey mat,
i just read your email of the original alien on blogcritics. I wonder if you would do me a favor and review the alien 5 screenplay ALIEN PLANET to help pushing our project. You’ll find every info on http://alienv.blogspot.com.
    Take Care

  4. I will definitely take a look at it phaedx. I can’t commit to a full review just yet. Honestly I suck at reading long items online and would hate to make a promise only to break it because I never read the dang thing.

The concept sounds interesting and if the first few pages stand out I’ll probably read and review it.

Um, exactly where is the screen play. The front page I see says it is being translated. Is the English version available somewhere?

    Hello,

I’m out reading Halloween related posts by expatriate (repatriate and Vicar-ious expatriate) bloggers…and putting the links to them on my blog.

I found a post from you on Blogcritics…I’ll go back there and post a comment too. But your site sounds very interesting…I’m intrigued by the gmail/music idea among other topics. (I can’t tell you how we despair of the movie situation where we are.) Anyway, I’m on the move for Halloween sites at the moment, but I hope I’ll remember to come back!!

Meilleurs vœux!

  6. I’m not sure what version of patriot I am. Moved to France but came back, and will probably leave again !

Thanks for the comment. Drop me a proper e-mail and I can fill you in on the gmail mp3 exchange.

    Hey Mat -

Just stumbled across your piece on Docs from last year. E-mail me your size (note US or UK), your color preference, and your address and I’ll hook you up with a new pair.
