*The introduction is edited out. It’s only 1 minute offically released music played from a reel at the beginning of the show.

I know I know, Billy Joel right? Really, I mean, do I want my street cred all but lost? But you know what? This is a good show. He’s still a bit cheezy, but the playing is good, and the energy is a lot of fun, and the sound is great. And come on, just try to tell me you don’t sing along when “Piano Man” comes on!

  1. What’s the problem? Since when is ‘street cred’ at risk by liking Billy Joel? Who makes the rules? You – or some credmeisters in their parent’s basement? Just enjoy the good stuff, man, and stop worrying about your ‘cred’. Billy Joel is a great songwriter and musician. ……who cares about anything else?

  2. Hip – Shmip. Is Beethoven hip? Gershwin? Sinatra? The Beatles? Who decides these things? ‘Hip’ is a false god – like ‘cool’ or ‘cutting edge’. GOOD is never out of style. No matter what anyone says. And you happen to have good taste in music.
